Thorben Pelzer re-elected treasurer of German Association of Chinese Studies

Professor Thorben Pelzer has recently begun his third and final two-year term as Treasurer and member of the Executive Board of the DVCS, the principal scholarly association for China studies in the German-speaking world. His uncontested re-election by the association’s General Assembly reflects the continued confidence of his peers in his service to the field.

Founded in 1990, the DVCS is the leading non-profit academic society dedicated to advancing professional exchange, networking, and collaborative research among scholars of China in Germany, Austria, and the German-speaking parts of Switzerland. The association also represents the China studies community within the German Research Foundation (DFG).
