摘要：

荀子及莊子皆視「天」為自然之天，並以此概念作為社會制度發展的根據。然而，他們對社會制度的看法卻截然不同：荀子視社會制度為達致人類幸福的重要關鍵，而莊子則視社會制度為人類的枷鎖。是次講座將分析兩者對社會制度的看法，並嘗試以西方哲學的desire-belief theory解釋兩者的分歧。

Bio:

Angel O K TING graduated from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2013 and is currently a lecturer in philosophy at College of International Education of Hong Kong Baptist University. She teaches ethics, applied ethics and introduction to philosophy. Her research interests include bioethics, moral psychology, ethics, comparative philosophy, early Confucianism and Zhuangzi.
